Tomaž Berločnik, (born in 1968) holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and a master’s degree in economic sciences. He started his career during his studies at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering where he founded, together with his friends, the company »RVS d.o.o.« (Informatics in Mechanical Engineering). After he had finished his studies he joined the then RS Fund for Development as project manager for the reorganisation of companies. Mr Berločnik held a number of positions including: Chairman of the Management Board of Donit Tesnit d.d., Chairman of the Management Board of Istrabenz d.d., Member of the Supervisory Board of Petrol d.d., Ljubljana. He is currently a member of the Supervisory Board of Telekom Slovenije d.d. On 10 January 2011 Mr Berločnik was appointed President of the Board of Petrol. At their 17th meeting, 3rd February, 2015, the Supervisory Board unanimously appointed Tomaž Berločnik, President of the Management Board of Petrol d.d., Ljubljana, for another five-year term starting on 1st February, 2016.
