In 1994 Mr. Haxhia served as an advisor to the Prime Minister helping with policy making. In 1996 starts his family Company and as of now , he is active in the areas of logistics, tourism, education, restaurant ownership. he is the owner with his family of GM (Opel and Chevrolet operations through NOSHI Company) in Tirana, Owner of Avis Rent A car, Owner of Budget Rent A Car and Board member and owner of POLIS University, The School of Architecture, Urban Planning and Studies in Tirana.

Gazmend teaches part time at the American MBA program in Albania and teaching at TUCK Business School Dartmouth University as a guest Lecturer as well as IEDC Business School in Bled Slovenia. He serves on many boards such as BCA (Business Advisory Council for East and Central Europe), board member of the American University in Kosovo, Board member of CEEMAN (Organization of Business Schools in the region and beyond). Board member of Entrepreneurs at EFER.

He is a member of YPO International and is elected by DAVOS World Economic Summit as a Young Global Leader in 2008 and is an active member of that Community.
