Duško Knežević, PhD of Legal and Economic Studies, is the Founder and President of the Atlas Group. The Atlas Group was founded 25 years ago in Yugoslavia and it represents one of the most successful groups in the South-East Europe region today. Under leadership of Dr Knezevic, Atlas Group has grown into an internationally acknowledged company, consisting of 30 companies including banks, finance, real estate, construction, tourism, education, health and media. Furthermore, Dr Knežević is committed to building up strong business relationships and partnerships such as Abu Dhabi Capital Group owned by Royal family from UAE, Bursa Istanbul, Mace London, Piraeus Bank, EBRD, Century 21 Real Estate, Turner Real Estate USA. He is the Founder of Mediterranean University – the first private university in Montenegro, and the Belgrade Banking Academy in Serbia. In 2010, Dr Knežević became a member of the Clinton Global Initiative and subsequently, he launched the Balkan Networking Initiative by organising the Inaugural Conference “Balkan Networking for Social Empowerment of South- Eastern Europe” in May 2011 in Montenegro, together the Government of Montenegro , honorary guest on the conference was Bill Clinton . In 2011, Dr Knežević became one of the first Board members of the newly established SUMMIT100 Business Leaders of Southeast Europe: A new deal for a new age. Dr Knežević graduated Finance and Banking at the Faculty of Economics, University of Belgrade. There he completed his Master degree also in Finance and Banking. He holds PhD from the Faculty of Law, University of Belgrade.
