KEY WORD FOR BUSINESS LEADERS OF SEE IS CONNECTIVITY
Skopje, July 26, 2017 – SUMMIT100 business leaders of SEE, unique business initiative, started in 2011 with the aim to engage business community in the region to take their part of responsibility for business and economic integration, thus improving the competitiveness of the national and regional economies and ensuring better quality of life for all in this part of Europe, will be organized for the sixth time on October 16-17, 2017,in the city ofSkopje with the key objective to find concrete ideas, projects, proposals for improved connectivity in the region in all aspects of economy and society.
After the successful trajectory that led this unique business initiativethroughArandjelovac in Serbia, Becici in Montenegro, Cavtat in Croatia, Portoroz in Slovenia and Sarajevo in Bosnia and Herzegovina, this year, it goes south, to the splendid Hotel Marriott in Skopje, wherethe sixth annual event will gather over 150 top business and political leadersfrom the SEE region together with special guests from European Commission, EBRD, EIB, Norden, World Bank, IMF, and many others with the aim to identify key projects and ideas for development of the region.
The topic of this year’s summit will be CONNECTIVITY in all sorts of aspects, including transport and free cargo in the region, Green Balcanica project that aims to make the SEE hub for electric mobility inEurope infrastructure, branding and promotion of the region, mobility of people, energy, digitalization, etc.Thekey note guest will be the European Commissioner for Transport Violeta Bulc.
The goal of the SUMMIT100 initiative is to put regional cooperation high on the agenda of every Government in the region by raising specific questions and aiming to work out a new deal for a new agewhich will improvecompetitivenessofnationaleconomiesandstrengthenthepotentialofSoutheasternEurope.
