Signed Memorandum of Understanding on Mutual Cooperation between Summit100 and WB6 CIF
Skopje, 17.10.2017 – Yesterday in Skopje, as part of the 6th Annual SUMMIT100, a Memorandum of understanding on mutual cooperationhas was signed between the regional platform SUMMIT100 and the Western Balkans Chambers Investment Forum 6 (WB6 CIF), which is a body for regional cooperation of the chambers of Macedonia, Serbia, Albania, Kosovo, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro.
The Investment Forum has been formed on the margins of the Trieste Western Balkans Summit.
According the signers of the Memorandum, the President of SUMMIT100 Board, Mr. Zhivko Mukaetov, and the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia Mr. Marko Čadež, the goal of this Memorandum is to unite the strengths of the private sector and the strong regional companies in order to work together on the implementation of the agreed projects of the Berlin Initiative.
“This year in Skopje, the regional cooperation of the Summit100 will be formalized by signing a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation on our Platform with the Western Balkans Chambers Investment Forum 6. The Memorandum will refer to encouraging business cooperation and promoting the competitiveness of regional and national economies.”, said Mr. Mukaetov in his addressing.
Referring on the topics discussed as part of SUMMIT100’s program and enhancing of the connectivity of the region through cooperation on issues such as faster trade of goods and services, transport, energy and branding of the origin, Mr. Čadež said:
“We want to help in accomplishing these tasks, by contributing to removal of the customs barriers, synchronizing the documentation, but also by synchronizing the other necessary procedures. Our goal is to keep this topic high on the agenda and I think that such readiness now exists, but we cannot relax. This is a question of the survival of our region”, Čadež concluded.
