Most influential business leaders of the region will for the first time gather at the Summit100 Business Leaders of Southeast Leaders – Agreement for New Age in the Izvor Hotel in Aranđelovac, on October 06-07, in the aim of initiatiing active dialogue on assuming responsibility of the business elite for closer relations in the region, elimination of obstacles preventing better cooperation today and identification of the potential of the region.
During the first two-day Summit100, they will strive to reach an agreement for the new age and find answers to the questions on how a success can be achieved in the car industry, food exports, ICT, construction of facilities at third markets. In addition, 100 selected and individually invited leaders will, together with guests from international institutions, try to reach high-quality answers to major problems, such as unemployment, and whether it can be resolved at the regional level, and if talks about regional priorities with political leaders of the countries of the region can be held in an open manner, without mutual accusations for past failures.
Some of participants who have confirmed their attendance include Bojan Radun (Nectar), Miodrag Kostić (MK Group), Branislav Grujić (PSP Farman), Toplica Spasojević (ITM), Miloš Đurković (Hewlett-Packard), Franjo Bobinac (Gorenje), Damir Kuštrak (Agrokor), Duško Knežević (Atlas), Živko Mukaetov (Alkaloid), and special guests from the EBRD, European Investment Bank, World Bank, IMF, UN, etc.
The working part of the Summit will include panel discussions on partnerships at the new market, energy agenda of the region, and infrastructure – a prerequisite for economic growth. On the last day of the Summit100, the Summit 2012 panel will be organised – a view into the near future, summing up key conclusions of the Summit100, opening topics for the Summit100 2012 and reviewing opportunities, challenges and prospects.
“The first Summit100 Business Leaders of Southeast Europe is organised in the atmosphere where business leaders of the region will propose concrete solutions and assume their part of responsibility for strengthening the competitiveness of national economies of the countries and the overall competitive potential of Europe, through a constructive dialogue and final documents. Those documents will serve as maps on the road of continuing active engagement of the Summit100 participants in the implementation and evaluation of results between two annual summits. What is clear to all the participants is that only cooperation at regional projects, increasing competitiveness of the whole Balkans, which will provide our companies with a breakthrough to third markets and foreign companies with the region as the harmonised market attractive for investments, can contribute to a better life for all citizens of the countries of the region,” underlined Maja Piščević, CEO and Chairwoman of the BoD in the Serbian Association of Managers.
Organisers of the Summit100 Business Leaders of Southeast Europe – Agreement for New Age are the Serbian Association of Managers (SAM), the Croatian Association of Employers (HUP) and the Association of Managers of Slovenia (MAS).
