The central topic of the 2nd Summit100 Business Leaders of Southeast Europe which starts tomorrow, May 23, in Montenegro, will be how to apply previous experience and potential of the region for creating sustainable projects for entering third markets together, as well as for cooperation in the region that would contribute to more competitive products and services and resolving the major issue of unemployment in the region.
The 2nd Summit100 Business Leaders of Southeast Europe titled the “New Deal for a New Age” begins tomorrow, May 23, in the Splendid Hotel in Bečići. The two-day Summit will be attended by around 100 most influential business leaders of the region and their guests, as well as prime ministers of Montenegro, Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, while the participation of high political officials of Slovenia and FYRM has been confirmed as well.
On the first day of the Summit, most influential businesspeople will discuss regional cooperation and investments, as well as major problems of the region, such as unemployment , from the perspective of the entire region, and how to prevent further “brain drain”. In addition, a dialogue on the role and responsibility of the media in further economic reintegration of the region will be launched as well.
On the second day, business leaders will talk about opportunities for entering local and third markets together, with a special focus on food, agriculture, energy, information technologies, and construction. At the opening ceremony of the Summit100, in the presence of Montenegrin Prime Minister Milo Đukanović, construction companies of Montenegro will officially join the regional consortium Fenix, which gathers companies in the construction sector from Serbia, Slovenia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
At the closing panel, conclusions of the Summit will be presented and prime ministers of Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia, supported by representatives of the Governments of Slovenia and FYRM, will hold closing speeches, including proposals for the deal for a new age.
The countries participating at the 2nd Summit100 Business Leaders of Southeast Europe are Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, BiH, Montenegro, and FRYM.
Co-organisers of the event are the Serbian Association of Managers (SAM) and the Atlas Foundation, under the auspices of the Montenegrin Government and in cooperation with the Croatian Employers’ Association (HUP) and the Managers’ Association of Slovenia (MAS) and support to BBI Bank from Sarajevo. The First Summit100 was organised in Aranđelovac, in October 2011, where business leaders expressed their willingness to reach an agreement on priorities of regional cooperation and establishment of partner relations, as well as a synergy with the political authorities of the region.
